Redwood Design System

I created new UX motion patterns and enhanced the overall design experience, making interfaces more intuitive and engaging. Each animation was applied with purpose and responsibility, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and responsiveness across multiple platforms and devices.

Problem:
UX motion patterns hadn’t been updated in over 20 years, resulting in inconsistent designs that didn’t feel like they came from the same company.

The process

Structured framework that defines how motion is used consistently across a product or ecosystem to enhance usability, brand identity, and user experience.

I created a curated collection of reusable animations, transitions, and motion patterns designed specifically for user interfaces (UI) for Redwood. Its purpose is to create consistent, intuitive, and engaging motion experiences across a product or suite of products. Essentially, it’s like a “design system for motion” — instead of just colors, typography, or buttons, it provides motion rules and components in FIGMA.

Outcome

Over 3 years working as Senior Designer at Oracle, I have contributed to the successful delivery of multiple high-profile projects, enhancing user experience across key platforms. My work has led to a 45% increase in user engagement and a 35% reduction in design-related development time.

I have collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative design solutions that align with business goals and customer needs. Additionally, I have mentored junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and creativity within the team.
